1. Who's agreeing
"Prodmail", "we" and "us" means HODL LABS - FZCO (licence 45659, IFZA), a company registered in the United Arab Emirates at Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. "You" means the person or organisation with the account. If you're using Prodmail for an organisation, you're confirming you're allowed to agree on its behalf.
2. What you get
- A mailbox at
username@prodmail.io, with the storage, aliases, domains and team features described on the pricing section and in the docs. - Access through our webmail at mail.prodmail.io and our API.
- We'll make reasonable efforts to keep the service running and your mail safe, and we publish our record on the status page. Email depends on other people's servers too, so we can't promise every message will be delivered or arrive on time.
3. Your account
- You need to be 16 or older.
- Keep your password to yourself. Everything done from your sessions is on you until you tell us the account has been compromised, after which we'll help you lock it down.
- One person per personal mailbox. Share mail through a team mailbox, not a shared password.
- You're responsible for the people you invite to your team and the access you grant them.
4. What you may not do
Don't use Prodmail to:
- Send unsolicited bulk mail, or mail that misrepresents who it's from.
- Send, store or distribute malware, phishing, or material that's illegal where you or the recipient are.
- Harass, threaten or defraud anyone.
- Break into, overload or probe our systems or anyone else's.
- Resell the service, or run a mail service for other people on top of it, without an agreement with us.
- Do anything that gets our mail servers blocklisted. If it happens, we'll suspend the sending involved while we sort it out.
If you break these rules we can suspend or close your account. We'll tell you why unless the law prevents it, and we'll give you the chance to export your mail unless doing so would help you continue the abuse.
5. Your mail is yours
- You own your mail. We claim no rights in it beyond what's needed to store it, deliver it and show it to you.
- We don't read it. Automated spam and malware checks look at each message and keep no record of you.
- We'll only disclose it under a valid legal order, as described in the privacy policy.
6. Billing
- The price is on the pricing section. Mailboxes are billed yearly in advance. Shared mailboxes are billed per mailbox; aliases, domains, team members and the audit log are included.
- If we change prices, we'll email you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
- If a payment fails we'll retry and email you. After 14 days the mailbox becomes read-only, and after 60 days we treat the account as closed under section 8.
- Refunds: if you cancel within 30 days of first paying, we refund in full. After that, we refund the unused months when you close your account, rounded to the month.
- Prices exclude VAT or sales tax, which is added where it applies.
7. Changes to the service and to these terms
- We improve things continuously. If we remove or materially reduce a feature you're paying for, we'll give 30 days' notice and you can cancel for a pro-rata refund.
- If we change these terms in a way that affects your rights, we'll email your primary address at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. If you don't, close your account before then and we'll refund the unused time.
8. Ending the agreement
- You can close your account at any time from Settings, Account, or by emailing us. Export your mail first; the docs explain how. Your data is deleted 30 days after closure.
- We can close your account for breaking section 4, for non-payment under section 6, or if we shut the service down. If we shut down, we'll give at least 90 days' notice and refund unused time.
- Addresses on prodmail.io are never reissued to another person after an account closes.
9. Liability
- We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but email isn't fully within anyone's control. We're not liable for mail that other servers reject, delay or lose, or for what other people send you.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from this agreement is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
10. Law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you're a consumer you keep any protections of the law where you live. Before going to court, email us; most problems are sorted out faster that way.
